The Futuristic Steampunk Schoolgirl

                                                                  Hannah

Technically, I'm not a school girl anymore, in the strictest sense, but are you going to dare to confront me about the title of this post? Are you? Didn't think so ha!

Anyway, I had the most amazing week ever! No, not really, it was fine though, it went by in a blur. I remember the parts where I was being blown around by the wind, like a paperweight. This is a midweek outfit, so let's talk about what I'm wearing shall we? *Rubbing hands together in glee*

This girl, the one below, is obsessed with the steampunk, steam engines, steam boats, anything victorian- !! I shall not gush. So she has decided to introduce some steampunky colours into her normally drab and mostly all black wardrobe.

.

I love how all the browns and greens go together but I think the scarf balanced the ensemble, so as not to make it seem too washed out. I am a scarf person: winter, summer, spring, autumn, I wear a scarf, do you wear scarf? You should wear scarf, Scarf is the best accessory you will ever have.

Told you these shoes will be back.
Scarf: Accessorize
 Tights, Skirt, Cardigan: Primark
Brown Socks: Ebay
Brown Brogues: BHS
Shirt: Thrifted
Clock Pendant: Claires

Portsmouth has tons and tons and tons of charity shops, I recommend Albert Road. Find a free Saturday and walk the length of it, all with good music of course.

I shall now leave you with a picture that could have been lost from the early 1900s and a badass steampunk song by composer  Walid Feghali.

Ciao

Creating textiles

Tsvetelina

The freedom of drawing something and printing it on fabric is the most amazing thing i have ever experienced. As a fashion and textile student that is what i do all the time and i just love it. Drawing has been my passion since i was young and fashion is my inspiration. Anyway, in this post i will talk you through my project at my university as it is very exciting for me and i have created some very beautiful pieces which i am proud of.

My lovely friend and amazing model Hannah helped me to expose my designs and we had a lot of fun shooting. My inspiration was African prints as they are very diverse and bold in their colours and designs, so this gave me the chance to explore a wide range of ideas. As I always draw my prints first, I had a lot to work with after scanning my art. Using Photoshop and Illustrator also plays a big part in the process. The colour blue which is my favourite gave a great contrasting background for the other brighter colours  used on the prints.

This scarf was my friend's favourite and one of my first head wraps from my collection. The blue was just giving an amazing contrast with her skin tone, so we both loved it and as you can see she was just feeling the summer vibes through the colours. The movement of the picture is also really effective because we were actually listening to music at that time...go go Fuse ODJ !!!

And last but not least my favorite cause i just adore the yellow and it brings to me a lot of memories from my lovely summer at home in Bulgaria and going to the beach. Anyway, we had a little bit of a struggle wrapping the scarves in the beginning and had to resort to youtube tutorials, but in the end we managed it. In this design I also used some graphic drawings I made as I enjoy working with Biro and pencils.

So, that is what I do and I will be posting a lot more about it because I  just enjoy what I do and I am thankful to my gorgeous friend Hannah, who is always assisting me when i am presenting my work.

See you soon people XOXO

I literally cannot wait for summer...

                                                               Hannah

Yay! Our first blog post! So, winter blues, chilly weather, biting wind, all these can make winter miserable especially if your house heating decides to play a hide and seek game with you. As I am writing, the wind outside is howling for our souls. I wore this outfit to uni a few days ago, spread some love  colour.

I have been looking for brown brogues for ages, I recall that Primark sells them, but they don't have a small heel and are rather too flat for my liking. I got these lovelies from BHS, and they will be seen a lot in my future posts as I am loving them! They are a good balance between comfort and style.

Below, I attempt to strike a pose and smile, I'm a bit rusty so please bear with me.

Have you all  noticed how tartan is literally everywhere, since autumn last year! I love it! Tartan coats, scarves and dresses (like the one I'm wearing (; )

A belated happy new year ! The first week of university after the very relaxed holidays was relentless with all the work I really should have done over christmas now piling up. I need hugs. Send me a hug, it will be much appreciated and cherished. I am excited to see my friends again though, Southsea is too quiet during the holidays.

A lot of thanks to my good friend for taking the pictures, you can follow his instagram here
